Terms of Service
The agreement between you and TVMenus.
These terms govern your use of the TVMenus service. By creating an account or installing the TVMenus player app, you agree to them. Effective July 21, 2026.
Agreement
Terms of Service
1. Who you are contracting with
TVMenus is a product of Cook Coding, LLC (“TVMenus,” “we,” “us”), a Florida limited liability company. These terms form a binding agreement between Cook Coding, LLC and the person or business that creates an account (“you”). If you accept these terms on behalf of a business, you confirm you are authorized to bind that business.
You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to use TVMenus.
2. What the service does
TVMenus lets you build digital menu boards in a web dashboard and display them on televisions running the TVMenus player app. You supply the television and the internet connection. We supply the dashboard, the player app, and the servers that deliver your menus to your screens.
The service depends on your network, your hardware, and your television’s behavior. We do not guarantee uninterrupted display, and we are not responsible for outages caused by your equipment, your internet provider, or a television’s power or sleep settings.
3. Your account
You are responsible for the accuracy of your account details, for keeping your password confidential, and for everything that happens under your account. Tell us promptly through our /contact page if you believe your account has been accessed without your permission.
Accounts are scoped to a single company. Only users you invite to your company can see your menus, screens, and uploaded files.
4. Trial, plans, and billing
New accounts start with a 14-day free trial of the full product. No credit card is required to begin the trial.
After the trial you may subscribe or continue on the Free plan. The Free plan runs one screen indefinitely at no cost, displays images only, and shows a small TVMenus watermark. Paid subscriptions are billed monthly in advance at $9 per active screen per month, reduced to $7 per screen per month across all screens once you run five or more. An active screen is one that is paired and requesting menu content.
Your screen count is synced to your subscription as you pair and unpair televisions. Adding screens increases your next invoice; unpairing screens reduces it. Prices are exclusive of tax, and applicable sales tax is added at checkout.
Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not receive or store your full card number.
We may change pricing, but not in the middle of a billing period you have already paid for. We will give you at least 30 days’ notice by email before a price change takes effect on your account.
5. Cancellation and refunds
You can cancel at any time from the billing page in your dashboard. Cancellation stops future renewals; it does not end the billing period you have already paid for. Your paid access runs to the end of that period, after which the account moves to the Free plan.
We do not offer refunds, including for partial months, unused screens, or periods in which you did not use the service. The 14-day free trial exists so you can evaluate TVMenus before paying anything, and you may cancel at any time to prevent the next renewal. This does not affect refund rights you may have that cannot be waived under the law of your state.
If a payment fails, we will retry it and email you. If it remains unpaid, we may suspend paid features until the balance clears. We do not delete your content for non-payment.
6. Your content stays yours
Your menus, item names, descriptions, prices, logos, images, and videos remain your property. We claim no ownership of them.
You grant us only the permission we need to run the service: to store your content, to process it, and to transmit it to the screens you have paired. That permission ends when you delete the content or your account.
You are responsible for what your screens display, including the accuracy of prices, allergen and nutrition information, tax treatment, and any disclosure your jurisdiction requires. We do not review your content, and calorie or nutrition figures you enter are published exactly as you enter them.
You confirm you have the rights to any logo, photograph, or video you upload.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to use TVMenus to:
- display unlawful content, or content you do not have the rights to display;
- attempt to access another company’s data, or probe, scan, or test the security of the service;
- interfere with the service, overload it, or circumvent screen counting, rate limits, or plan restrictions;
- resell or white-label the service without our written agreement.
We may suspend an account that is causing harm to the service or to other customers. We will tell you why, and we will restore access once the cause is resolved.
8. Availability and support
We aim to keep TVMenus available continuously, but we do not commit to a specific uptime percentage and we do not offer a service-level agreement. We perform maintenance when needed and try to schedule disruptive work outside typical service hours.
Support is provided by email through our /contact page. We answer as promptly as we reasonably can.
9. Ending the agreement
You may stop using TVMenus and cancel at any time. We may terminate or suspend your account if you materially breach these terms and do not fix the problem within 14 days of us telling you about it, or immediately if required by law.
If we discontinue the service entirely, we will give you at least 60 days’ notice and will not bill you for periods after it ends. You may request a copy of your data at any time through /contact.
10. Disclaimers
The service is provided “as is.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
TVMenus displays the content you enter. It is not a point-of-sale system, a pricing authority, or a compliance tool, and it should not be relied on as the sole record of what you charge or what your food contains.
11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, neither party is liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for lost profits, lost revenue, or lost goodwill, even if advised such damages were possible.
Our total liability for any claim arising out of these terms is limited to the amount you paid us for the service in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. If you have paid us nothing, our liability is limited to $100.
Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, including liability for fraud.
12. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify Cook Coding, LLC against third-party claims arising from the content you display, your use of the service in breach of these terms, or your violation of another’s rights.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. For material changes we will give you at least 30 days’ notice by email or in the dashboard before they take effect. Continuing to use TVMenus after that date means you accept the updated terms. The effective date at the top of this page always reflects the current version.
14. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute that cannot be resolved informally will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Florida, and both parties consent to the jurisdiction of those courts.
Before filing anything, please contact us through /contact. Nearly everything is faster to fix by email.
15. General
These terms, together with our Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between us regarding the service. If any provision is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it. You may not assign this agreement without our consent; we may assign it in connection with a merger or sale of the business.
Questions about these terms: /contact.
16. Trademarks and third-party products
TVMenus is an independent product of Cook Coding, LLC. Google TV, Android TV, Chromecast, and Google Play are trademarks of Google LLC. TCL, Hisense, Sony, onn., Walmart, and Amazon are trademarks of their respective owners. All other product names, logos, and brands referenced on this site or in the service are the property of their respective owners.
We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or otherwise connected to any of those companies. We name them only to identify the hardware the TVMenus player app runs on and the stores that sell it. Use of a trademark does not imply any relationship with, or approval by, its owner.
We do not sell hardware. Links we provide to retailers are unaffiliated and we earn nothing from them; anything you buy from a third party is a transaction between you and that seller, and its price, availability, warranty, and support are theirs, not ours. Devices, television firmware, and app stores are outside our control, and we are not responsible for changes a manufacturer or store makes to them.
